Yo Gabba Gabba! is a children's television show created by Christian Jacobs and Scott Schultz. The series premiered on August 20, 2007 and received a Daytime Emmy nomination in 2008 for Outstanding Achievement in Costume Design/Styling. The title of the series is derived from the chant "Gabba Gabba Hey," first coined by punk rock band The Ramones. Hosted by a human character named DJ Lance Rock, the show presents a mix of live-action segments featuring cartoonish-costumed characters and short, animated sketches and musical numbers.
